Bob Sammons

Robert “Bob” Sammons has built his career around real estate transactions and development work in Central Florida. Born in 1955, he graduated from Lakeland High School in 1973 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Auburn University in 1976. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1979, where he served on the University of Florida Law Review as Junior Managing Editor and Special Projects Editor.

Bob began his legal career as an associate with Richards, Nodine in Clearwater and later with Canan, Murphy & Clark in Lakeland. In 1984, he started practicing in Winter Haven, focusing on real estate transactions and condominium formation during a period of significant growth in the region. His work has consistently centered on helping clients navigate the details that make real estate deals succeed, including title, documentation, timing, and negotiation.

During the 1980s and 1990s, Bob was the leading shareholder and chief executive officer of Haven Title Company, a title insurance agency that completed thousands of real estate closings. In 1995, Haven Title Company was sold so Bob could return his full attention to broader transactional and development matters, including agricultural and industrial property, large-scale acquisitions, and project financing.

Since that time, Bob has represented clients in transactions up to $70,000,000 and has extensive experience with the financing and development issues that come with major projects. His work includes supporting residential subdivisions and commercial town centers, with a focus on practical problem-solving and keeping transactions moving forward. Clients value his ability to spot issues early, communicate clearly, and structure deals that meet the realities of the market.

Bob is deeply involved in the Winter Haven community. He has served as past president of the Rotary Club of Winter Haven, the Republican Men’s Club of East Polk County, and the Polk County Legal Aid Society. He has been married to his wife, Claudia, since 1979, and they have four children: David, Colin, Jim, and Meg. Outside of work, Bob enjoys computer technology, wilderness cycling, and Auburn football.
